Best Western The Croft

We were invited to our friend’s wedding, I was looking forward to staying as I’ve heard a lot about The Croft. There wasn’t enough food for all the guests, they brought out chips pizza chicken for the rest of the guests, what food was there was nice. My partner and I had upset stomach’s for couple days after,as the quiche was under cooked in the middle. Once back to the room,we pulled back the covers to find pubic hairs, not the best. We mentioned it to a member of staff, they looked horrified, but they did apologise.

I was so looking forward to my stay at The Croft, but I have to say it didnt live up to my expectations. We attended a friends wedding and stayed overnight, the venue is stunning and staff were friendly. However finding 2 pubic hairs when you pull down your bedspread is not what I would class as wanted additional extra. In addition to this our reception food, which we were lucky (as not everyone got it) or unlucky to receive has caused us two days of upset stomachs, which we believe was due to quiche which was undercooked in the centre. My thoughts are with our friends the bride and groom and we share their disappointment but hopefully not their upset stomach.

The Croft is a beautiful hotel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. One of its hidden gems is the chapel, which is truly breathtaking and something you would never expect when you first walk in. We couldn’t resist having a look around, and it was absolutely stunning. We dined in the restaurant, and the interior was just as impressive—stylish, elegant, and inviting. The food was exceptional. Chef Ray prepared an amazing meal; I had the katsu chicken, which was delicious, but the coriander pickled salad was absolutely incredible and a real highlight of the dish. The service was outstanding, with Megan making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Thank you for such a lovely experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.
