PREMIER INN DURHAM CITY CENTER

We were in room 415 for two nights 11th - 13th August. We booked a premier room with air con. As soon as the we entered the room the air con fan was on full but the room was very warm/hot. I went reception and they told me there was a problem with that room and no other rooms were available. They gave us breakfast free of charge. They also offered to change our rooms next day. We were meeting family for a funeral early and could not get to reception until 20:00 and of course no rooms with air con available. When challenged, it appeared to me that it was my fault for not turning up at reception in the morning. It also appears, to me, that the air con in that room had either been turned off or had been faulty before we arrived. Why were we given that room and more importantly why wasn’t another room at least reserved for us. We are elderly, use premier in a lot and feel we have been treated very badly. The reception staff should not start arguing with us when they know we are correct I’m was severely upset by all of this and hardly slept at all

Really great hotel, great staff and very comfy. Would definitely recommend this location.

We often choose Premier Inn for its comfortable beds. Everything you need is available and location was ideal for accessing the city centre and historical locations of Durham. Parking very handy in Walkergate multi storey. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is very good value with plenty of choices.
