Kingsway Hotel Cleethorpes

Thursday lunch at 1pm thought the staff were excellent, menu and drinks came in good time, the service in the restaurant was good, the food I had the pate and roast chicken and my parents french onion soup and the fishcakes both were excellent and then coffee after which again was really nice. I have read the previous reviews which seems to show a lack of consistency perhaps staff shortages or lack of organisation and training but have to say all the staff we encountered were fine. Disappointed they no longer do coffee walk ins.

Booked a twin room for myself and my daughter last minute due to a family emergency. We arrived late approx 9pm and found a car park space, there were several available. Lovely twin room, lots of space, large bathroom with a bath and large shower. Tea, coffee, biscuits and water available in the room. Very comfortable although it hot over night. Opened the window and there was a cooling fan in the wardrobe which made it more comfortable. Breakfast lovely, lots of choice, hot food freshly cooked to order, would stay again.

Come back to Cleethorpes occasionally because I used to live there in the late 60’s. This is a lovely hotel, so pleased it’s privately owned, love staying here…be back soon !
