Hampton by Hilton Braintree

I’m very unhappy with our stay at this hotel. We stayed for two nights, so things I thought were an issue on night/morning one, were not as they were still issues one night/morning two. There was no Chardonnay in the bar either night (okay we can live without that). No dairy free milk on either morning meant we’re were unable to have a coffee or cereal. The cooked breakfast wasn’t great either, with soggy hash browns etc. not great at all. I woke on the second morning to find huge old mould patches on my pillow. I hadn’t noticed the night before with just the side lights on when going to bed. The base of the lamps and the chairs were covered in dust. Our towels were left on the floor and not changed and I have returned with bites on my feet and ankles that could only have happened in the hotel. The kettle lid wouldn’t open, so we could have a hot drink in our room either. I stay in hotels often and I must say this hotel has let the entire group down. It was a shocker!

Res; 83702507 5/7. Friendly staff, informative, simple check in. Room of our choice, excellent fully working air con, tv with simple controls, large powerful shower, complimentary cold can of water, blackout curtains and a good nights sleep. Breakfast was great value for the included price of the room. We would recommend and will stay again.

Stayed prior to flight the next morning. Friendly, helpful receptionist who gave a great suggestion for dinner. Enter car reg at reception desk. Room as you'd expect. We both slept well. 20 min drive to the airport.
