This hotel is set in its own grounds just off the A130. It has a friendly atmosphere from the minute you arrive. Our room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We ate in both onsite restaurants and the food was amazing. Staff wete friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The leisure centre just behind it was well equipped with both indoor and outdoor facilities. We stayed for our 35th anniversary and will definitely be returning.

I spent a wonderful 2 weeks convalescing at Pontlands after a back operation. The staff were so helpful; they went above and beyond in their care and attention. The food was very good, the grounds are beautiful, the bed was comfortable with a spacious room. I felt so welcome, thank-you so much!

Beautiful surroundings beautiful building unfortunately don’t live up to expectations.. room wasn’t ready after key was given cleaning staff were very disappointed we had our key as was mid way thru cleaning our room, on arrival TV didn’t work kept showing the Home Screen of hotel even after staff tired to fix it for us Asked for water in our room but never appeared think it was just forgotten, breakfast was terrible new staff on shift who unfortunately didn’t know how service worked and disappeared after 20mins so I only had tea n toast .. all in all I wouldn’t return . I did email hotel once home but they explained that it’s a 3 ⭐️establishment but I think booking a luxury 4 poster bed suite the basic would be better £250 per night … not worth the room price no air con either .. so not overally impressed think there are better options offer more.
