Beautiful views , clean and friendly staff

I had a great experience during my visit. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The environment was clean, welcoming, and comfortable, making the whole experience enjoyable. I really appreciated the team’s hospitality and would definitely recommend this place to others.

Firstly very difficult to locate using postcode on Google maps!Once arrived receptionist couldn't find the booking at first but once found it was fine, she was really pleasant. The stairs & corridors were tired and the carpets old and faded, this was the first signs this hotel was in need of refurbishment. On entering the room, 121, it was obvious time had stood still from the 1980's, worn out green carpet, bright red and orange curtains, one long chipped bench that the varnish was worn off. There was 1 chair and a bed so for 2 people it meant using the bed to sit, nowhere else available. The very small TV in the corner lost sound after five minutes and didn't return! There were dead flies on the window sill, windows were open as far as allowed on arrival so this could be the reason, there is no air con & we've just had a record breaking heat wave so the open windows were appreciated. A fan was provided but was very noisy and had to be switched off to sleep. The bathroom was very basic but ok apart from the very rusty old towel rail. There was 1 full roll of toilet paper provided and a tiny amount left on another roll. Sorry but this should be binned after the last guest, the holder was a simple bar design so not a dispenser and so no way of ensuring the previous occupants germs weren't lingering, yuk!! Only 2 pillows on bed, others were in a tatty bag above hanging space, after opening they were clearly used and had make-up or similar stains on them, had to go to reception who handed me replacement pillow cases and a second loo roll on request. The room was very old, tatty and generally didn't make you feel relaxed or assured it was clean. The bed was comfy but I was worried given how tatty the room was so slept without getting under the covers. There was hanging space and a kettle, 2 mugs and tea, coffee etc, had to fill from bathroom sink, no bottled water provided. This room for the night cost £85 with member discount and seemed expensive for the quality of the accommodation provided, we would not return.
