It was felt disgusting and uncomfortable. would never stay here again. it was not hygenic. would not recommended anyone here. save yourself the trip and choose somewhere better.

Absolutely appalling. Rooms so hot they are uninhabitable, especially on the 2nd floor. No air con, only one small ineffective fan. Felt like a sauna. Actually made me feel ill it was so hot. Also drunk kids kicking off shouting and screaming outside hotel and completely ignored by security until I had to ring them to ask them to deal with it. Function attended was great, day staff helpful and food good, but completely spoiled by not being able to sleep AT ALL especially after having travelled a long way to get here. Will have to travel home again on no sleep.

Restaurant that overpromises and underdelivers. The menu here looks really promising but the reality was slow service and not good at all. The oak smoked chalk stream trout was hot smoked and like uninteresting salmon. But the mains were seriously poor. The slow cooked steak was overcooked and not meltingly tender as implied. The pork belly was burnt underneath so the meat there was inedible while the crackling was soggy rather than crisp. The whole thing was made worse by the long wait for mains. Definitely one to miss.
