We booked the stay & dine B&B for a mini mini break and enjoyed our stay. The pro’s? Our room was beautiful, the bed really comfortable though not huge, we were up at the top and had no noise from the bar at all. Food (and cocktails) on the Terrace for dinner and breakfast was amazing, the service really warm and friendly. Right in the middle of Cheltenham 131 is a wonderful hotel to look at, the bar attached was very vibrant. The cons? The hotel is renovating so you do have to go through the restaurant to get into the hotel, not a big deal, and as the Terrace is moving inside from September then this may changed. It was not clear where to park or that it was included in our direct-booking price. Though reception was warm enough in their welcome, I thought that when they walked us to our room (2 flights) they could have offered to help with the bag. My husband would have said no thank you I think but the offer would have been appreciated and in line with the boutique price tag. The hotel has two bars, but the outside/downstairs bar was too busy for any seats to be free, and the inside rather-nice-looking one was closed the day we visited. In summary, we did enjoy our stay, but for the price tag there were small things that they could do to have made it 5 stars and create a more welcoming vibe in the main hotel. The Terrace restaurant nothing but praise for the customer service and the food.
