Stratton House Hotel

We held our company summer party at Stratton House Hotel and couldn't have asked for a better venue! The food was absolutely amazing, with plenty of compliments from everyone who attended, and was fantastic value for money. The venue itself was beautiful and created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. We'd highly recommend Stratton House Hotel for anyone looking to host a corporate event or special occasion. Thanks again to Hallie and the team for making it such a memorable evening!

Booked and paid for a family room for our Son's wedding. Room was fine and we had a lovely stay. Upon our return home we had been charged an extra £20 for a bed for our Grandchild who stayed in our room on a sofa bed. I would like to know why this charge was added which we were never told about or agreed to.

This hotel sets itself as a luxury spa retreat. In fact, when you arrive, you find a rather down at heel, scruffy hotel, with the hotel corridors smelling of cleaning chemicals, and our room smelling even more strongly because a bottle of glass cleaner and an old rag had been left in there. These smells made us feel unwell. They had been completely unhelpful during the booking process, and that should have been our warning. We had a party of four, and they had been completely unable to accommodate putting a put up bed in our room for my son, so we had reluctantly been forced to split the party in a way that did not suit us. We were also unfortunate enough to arrive on a very hot day. Our room was so hot that sweat was pouring down us just sitting there. A single small pedestal fan was all that was available for cooling, and had zero effect. This hotel is so bad that we literally checked ourselves out an hour after arriving, walking away from the money that we had paid for two nights stay in two rooms. Yes, that bad. Money down the drain, but better than staying here. The front desk person was disinterested and unhelpful, no refund for a late cancellation, even for the second night. Overall feeling of couldn’t give a monkey’s.
