The Falcon Inn

We had lunch there. It took for ever to order food. After we asked the waiter to come, he just tried to remember everything we ordered although we were 6 people and the order was large. We became anxious he may forget something. He just repeated the order but didn't grab a paper to write it. It took them 1h to bring the food. We had 2 little children who were complaining about being hungry. We told him eventually and he said your food is waiting on the pass!!!! We said the children are so hungry all this time. He offered to bring their food at least which apparently was waiting there!! He hadn't brought the starters either. He just brought everything AFTER we complained. He then explained he didn't understand the starters should have come first!!! The food quality (burger, fish fingers, salad) was not good either! Terrible service and quality. I would have left if we didn't have more people with us.

I dined at the Falcon Inn last month, and I had a time! I was blown off off my feet by the excellent food - I haven't had nicoise salad so good since my visit to my French grandmother in 1987! Moreover, the service was nothing short off excellent, Dan, Hugh, and Ollie made me feel right at home - even 700 miles from my hometown. Thank you - The Falcon Painswick - I also won't forget those corn ribs any time soon!

Worse ham, egg, chips i have ever had. Eggs were solid, ham tasteless and what looked like some old bits of chips. All for £17 and to add insult to injury, we Could only get 1 bottle of chilled wine. My wife's meal was nice. Shame manager sent a junior member of staff to offer a removal of the tip as compensation. Disgusted as waiting staff were brilliant, so refused offer. Never going back
