We made some allowances as this is a dog friendly hotel and even had a dog shower outside. The general feel outside the main reception room and bar is it feels tied. Some items in the room were damaged, and little things let it down. I have given 4 of 5 due to the staff who were very friendly but if this was not the case it would have been a 3. We upgraded to a king-sized bed and it was very comfortable. Our hotel room did not smell of dogs.

Lovely location beautiful surroundings spoilt by a party on the Saturday night that could be heard in the bedrooms which spoilt the ambience of being in the new forest for a relaxing, peaceful break in the country side.

Dreadful hotel, almost nothing was good. Breakfast was ok but we were seated at a dirty table. Room boiling as no AC, therefore sleep very poor, pathetic little fan put in room was next to useless. TV was older than some of the trees outside the window and only had 2 channels! Gents toilet near the lobby was out of order. Room had no toilet brush. Worst hotel we have ever stayed in by a country mile, for the money it was an utter rip off. Cheap pub vibe.
