Holiday Inn Express Psm Gunwharf Quays

I travel a lot with work and generally avoid Holiday Inn IHG hotels as I find them to be basic and tired. This was no different. It’s a prime location for Gunwharf, that’s what you are paying for. The check in was friendly and the staff were excellent in general. The hotel is in need of a lot of work. The rooms are very basic, plastic shower curtains, tired decor, poor lighting. The hotel was busy, due to the location. Breakfast was fresh and hot, staff clearing quickly and things replenished. It’s expensive even with IHG member discount for what you get.

Great hotel in an excellent location, making it ideal for exploring the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was especially appreciated during the warm weather. The breakfast was really lovely, with an excellent choice of hot and cold options, all fresh and well presented. It was a great way to start each day. Overall, I had a very comfortable two-night stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

God this place needs a total make over, it’s very tiered and looking very dirty & un kept in places. Location & staff are great but you can’t polish a turd. This place needs closing and a major renovation. My room was dirty & had stains on the carpet & walls then I had someone’s random toe nail on the carpet the bed base had holes in it & the mattress is so uncomfortable as it just slopes inwards & wasn’t able to open the window as was locked shut, overall not a great experience. I appreciate it’s not the Ritz but it still has to meet a certain standard which this place certainly doesn’t. From a platinum Elite member please take this feedback and do what’s needed. Honestly I would not recommend this property at all & look elsewhere.
