MEON VALLEY MARRIOTT HOTEL & C

Me and my partner went out for a weekend. The hotel was nice and cosy. The leisure centre was very good with swimming pool, sauna and steam room. The staff was polite and helpful, Francisco, the manager we met at breakfast, was absolutely lovely. He was extremely polite, attentive and welcoming, and gave us some really helpful tips about the local area. He made us feel very well looked after and made our stay even more enjoyable. Stayed at Meon Valley again for pre cruise with parking. Sadly the hotel standards have slipped from the last time we stayed. Mould in the bathroom can easily be sorted, masking tape left on the door etc. the little touches make the big difference. We pre purchased a 3 course meal through Holiday Extras, the starter had salad that should have been thrown out, the main was nice enough then we waited and waited for our dessert. After a very long wait my husband asked the waiter and he said the chef didn't tell him about any dessert and got it straight away, it must have been there a while as the cheesecake was not chilled at all. Breakfast was nice enough but when we had our second coffee then milk powder had run out and we went soon after breakfast opened, also the top of the coffee machine were thick with dust and wasps were flying around the eating area. We won't be staying here again.

Absolutely terrible time at this hotel. Lack of staff, paid for services that we did not receive. Food orders for dinner were all wrong. The staff that were available did not care one bit. I would never return to this hotel. Have been waiting for a response to my complaint for nearly a month now and they just keep saying to “be patient”, no urgency to help us whatsoever. Shocking.
