Holiday Inn Express Stevenage

We choose this hotel as we needed to be in London but the hotels in central London on that night started at £300 so for the sake of a short train ride this hotel was a bargain. The receptionist apologised that the air conditioning was being upgraded and not working so there was a fan in the room. It was exceptionally warm for this country (no fault of the hotel). We did get a reasonable night's sleep on the comfortable bed and pillows. As we were leaving before breakfast was served we were provided with a breakfast bag and offered the use of the tea/coffee facilities in take away cups. This was a nice touch and the food was tasty. Would definitely return.

Huge shout out to Ben on nights 11/7/26 disaster booking 3rd party, Ben was on it and helped me out 10/10 for his professional approach to dealing with the issue and his attitude ! Absolute legend! Great team

No aircon, and windows don’t open. Even on a regular British summer evening (16 degrees outside), it was unbearable hot overnight. Just avoid, there are better options nearby.
