The Coach House

Although everyone has a right to their opinion, I’m going to start off by saying that I cannot understand how one guest can give this charming couple and wonderful house a one star review. The 5 star reviewers have got it right. We had a a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxed stay with Iola (iola) and Michael at The Coach House. They were so welcoming and provided us with a wonderful base to visit the area. The house is an 18th century, probably Georgian building set in delightful grounds with ample parking. It is surrounded by wonderful countryside and offers relaxation in abundance. It is so quiet. Our bedroom was more than large enough with a 2 seater settee and views over the countryside. The bathroom had an excellent power shower, always a plus point for me. Breakfast (fruit, cereals, eggs, toast, fruit juices, tea, coffee etc) gets the day off to a good start. You do need a form of transport if you chose to stay at The Coach House but if you do there is so much to visit in England and Wales and numerous excellent pubs and restaurants within a few minutes of the house. The best compliment we can pay is to say that we would return to The Coach House for another stay without question. Thank you again to Iola and Michael.

The hosts are wonderful, and the bedrooms very comfy and the best home made jams ever at breakfast. I would highly recommend.

We had booked the Coach House for a long weekend as we wanted to visit the Big Apple Festival in Much Marcle. On arriving we had a lovely welcome from Iola and her husband and were showed to our well appointed room. The room was extremely comfortable with beautiful furnishings, an excellent bathroom and a really comfortable bed. Equally, breakfast in the dining room was very enjoyable with home made bread, an array of fruits, yoghurt, preserves and cereals, along with juice and excellent coffee. The eggs from the family chickens were cooked to perfection. We felt extremely welcome and comfortable here and Lily, our small dog was made to feel at home too. Nothing was too much trouble and Iola and her husband are an absolute delight! Will definitely stay again when back in the area. Thank you.
