Premier Inn Hemel Hempstead West

Mirror was covered in dust, there was hair in the bath, pee stains on toilet seat and also the pamphlets on the desk were all over the place not neat and tidy. I had to clean the room myself

From start to finish, a very good experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good. Size of our room was also very decent. Can't fault them on anything. Very good price too.

Good that there is free parking at this hotel. Room wasn’t ready even though we had booked and paid for an early check in. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar/restaurant area clean and tidy. Breakfast was quite good. Hotel does require some refurbishment. The bedrooms are a bit shabby, dark and need new paintwork and bathrooms need new grouting. The heat was the worst thing though. There was no air conditioning which I knew but thought it would be okay as it was September and cool outside. However, the room temperature never went below 26°. Two fans were provided with little effect. The hotel definitely needs air conditioning and I would be reluctant to stay again because of this.
