St Michaels Manor Hotel

Just had a two night stay Beautiful building but in need of some care and attention. The grounds were gorgeous and the gardener always spotted working hard. Our room was in need of full redecoration. Shabby wall paper and paintwork Carpet needed renewing too. Air conditioning was in a radiator blowing up into a windowsill. We had to get a fan. In need of a room fridge and then fresh milk and cold water The bed was very comfortable, sheets new and clean. The breakfast was very good. Good selection from a hot menu. The cold cheeses / meats could have been a lot better quality. Staff were polite and helpful. There seemed a lot of people in charge less doing ! There was one lady at breakfast waiting on who was excellent. We did not feel it was good value for money or worth the price tag for the overall quality.

Had a lovely afternoon tea served by Wasiat who made a great recommendation to try to chai which was definitely my favourite tea in the end! Would highly recommend- great value for money

Afternoon Tea for 5 celebrating our daughter's graduation. Beautiful surroundings in the Orangery with a spacious table in the window overlooking the grounds. Prompt and efficient service, attentive staff. Clean and well appointed tables in a quiet atmosphere. Delicious and plentiful food. Excellent choice of teas , we had 4 different kinds! With particular thanks to Bessie who looked after us very well , and who also congratulated our daughter on her success. We can thoroughly recommend St Michael's Manor for afternoon tea.
