Lovely quiet hotel, beautiful room, particularly the bed. Staff were friendly and helpful when I had to check-in late at night. Particularly amazing at the price. If you're looking for a quiet country hotel, with a classy but comfy look - this is your place.

Excellent value, beautiful setting and outstanding service We stayed in the Presidential Suite, also referred to as the Honeymoon Suite, and overall we were very impressed, particularly by the exceptional value and the level of service we received. The suite is spacious, with a large comfortable bed and a recently fitted new carpet. The bathroom was amazing, with a beautiful freestanding bath, separate shower and plenty of space. The shower was particularly impressive – very powerful and one of the best hotel showers we've experienced. The absolute highlight of the suite is the enormous private terrace overlooking the mature grounds. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't really on our side during our stay, but on a warm summer's day this would be a very special place to sit with a drink and enjoy the surroundings. The hotel is set in lovely grounds with beautiful mature trees, which gives it a peaceful country-house feel. The service was outstanding. The manager, Mr Silver, was friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful throughout our stay. Filitsa on reception was also excellent, and both of them made us feel genuinely welcome. Their attitude and level of service were a major part of what made our stay so enjoyable. Another big plus is that the hotel is dog friendly. With the extensive grounds and countryside setting, it's a particularly good place to stay if you're travelling with a dog. The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment, and it's clear that improvements are being made. There are still some areas showing the age and character of the building, but this is an older property with plenty of charm and enormous potential. It will be interesting to see it once the refurbishment is complete. There is no TV in the suite itself, although one is available in the communal area. This wasn't a major issue for us, but it's worth mentioning for anyone who considers a TV in the room important. Overall, considering the size of the suite, amazing bathroom, huge private terrace, beautiful grounds, dog-friendly approach and, above all, the excellent service from Mr Silver and Filitsa, we thought the value was exceptional. There are still areas that will benefit from the ongoing refurbishment, but the outstanding service and exceptional value make this a strong 4.5/5 for us. We would happily stay again, especially during the summer.

We were not informed that the hotel was closed and arrived to find the property all boarded up with a sign on the door with a phone number that nobody answered. It looked as though it had been closed for sometime and yet adverts for it are still on all major hotelbooking sites.
