Hilton Watford (I)

The breakfast at the hotel was so lovely, the best I've ever seen! So many options!! The full English breakfast, delicious baked items, Vegan, Gluten Free, so many dietary restrictions were acknowledged! I was so impressed! Vali, the restaurant hostess was so kind and accommodating. Such a pleasure first thing in the morning! I highly recommend starting your day with a lovely breakfast at the Hilton London Watford!

I’ve stayed at this hotel for over 40 nights (all together) and the staff are always amazing. I’m here for just one night today and Paula at front desk really made me and my guest feel welcomed. Great hospitality and customer service. I want to also especially thank Angel & Ivy at the bar downstairs, for their great hospitality, service and bubbly personalities!

Arrived and checked in and very quickly learned there was no water in our room. There was maintenance in the building so we had to navigate several floors and corridors to get there. Then discovered the phone didn’t work so had a 5 minute trip back to reception who advised the water was out throughout the building. I was annoyed they’d let us check in and not mentioned this but they told us it would be back on in 30 mins. 2 hours later no water still so another hike to reception and was told it would be back in 30 mins. 2 hours more and no water - this time the engineers were 30 mins away and I started to suspect someone wasn’t telling the truth! I asked if any rooms had water and was told no - I later discovered this wasn’t true and only the family rooms were out. Several tries later and still no water - no toilet and no showers. We were told the gym 3 floors below had a single shower and a toilet. When we asked how we would shower our children or take them to the toilet in the night this was the only solution. In reality they could’ve moved us to 2 double rooms but obviously this wasn’t financially viable for them. After showering the kids in a public gym shower and taking a 3 flight trip to the toilet in the night we requested a refund but was offered £20 off our £625 stay! This was eventually argued up to 20% of the first night but the stay still cost over £500 for 2 nights and no running water - last Hilton I use.
