Ballachulish

We recently returned from a family private dining experience at the Ballachulish Hotel, where to start. I honestly can't fault the staff, the food or the location. The staff were friendly and attentive without being over bearing, nothing at all was a problem for them. We had Champagne and Canapés in the beautiful lounge before the meal with staff in attendance, again very discreet but there if we required anything. My American friend commented that she felt like royalty, she also thought the decor was perfect for the age and style of the Hotel which is under the umbrella of Crieff Hydro. Our meals were of the finest quality, we had guests with us who are in the Hotel/ Bar industry who couldn't complement the food highly enough and neither could we. The food was presented beautifully. We had a range of vegetarian and meat dishes as for dessert well, they certainly didn't disappoint. Like the star tests and mains the portion size was perfect. Not too much but enough that you didn't want to eat the rest of the evening- we had our meals at 5 pm We had room 124 on the 1st floor, it had a beautiful view. And was spotless The bed was excellent and having a bath and shower was a bonus. There were some lovely personal touches in the room like a hand written welcome card and a tray with welcome written in chocolate with a small strawberry meringue. We didn't have breakfast as we had to leave at 7am but I'm assured by my family who did have it that it was excellent.

Cozy B &B. Tastefully decorated and convenient to get to town for a few groceries. (Breakfast not included) Bed was comfortable and bathroom had tub/shower combo. Nice view out onto the garden on a rainy day. Owner was friendly and gave us dinner recommendations close by. Would stay again.

We had a very pleasant time The owner of the place made us very welcome. The apartment is tastefully decorated The bedding is very comfortable and the small, fully equipped kitchen is very practical for preparing breakfast (not included). A small supermarket provides supplies nearby. We wanted to stay one more night THANKS The 3 French
