Very beautiful room with a view of the water, good shower, great breakfast. The option to eat easily on site in the evening is a plus. Small downside, no personal belongings when checking out.

Nice rooms, especially this one with lake view. Cracking net. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Pleasant bar where you can also get locally prepared fresh meals in the evening. Full and well catered breakfast. Central location.

We were excited to stay here when we saw the location and the most stunning scenery but ended up very disappointed. We were shown to our room which at first appeared clean and cosy. Once unpacked and sat with a drink we started to feel cold. We sat with the fleece that was provided over us but soon this wasn’t enough. The radiator wasn’t working whatever we did so my partner went to get help. The manageress came to the room and said that she determines the temperature and as far as she was concerned the room was warm enough. We were quite shocked by this after spending £154 for the night, not including breakfast. It came across that she was not happy to spend money on the heating but he insisted that we expected to be comfortable and eventually the heating was turned up. As the night went on we found the walls were stained, a plug socket didn’t work and there was mould in the bathroom on most of the walls. We also found someone’s used toothpick next to the bedside lamp. We also were told that if you leave the property you had to leave your room key behind. You are not given a front door key but between the hours of 12-4 the door is locked and if you want entry you have to contact someone by phone and wait for them to get to you to let you in. I cannot fault the location and scenery but the rules are odd and restrictive and you are made to feel like you are causing an issue for simple requests like heating in the room. For this reason I would choose one of the many other hotels on the same road.
