This is our 6th year of visiting this place for lunch, we were not disappointed. We always get a really good welcome and a fresh bowl of water for the dogs, without having to ask. I was looking forward to my roast beef lunch, I wasn't disappointed, they do the most amazing Yorkshire pudding! My husband had the steak pie, which he enjoyed too. No puddings as we had made the decision earlier to take our own cake and flask so we could sit on the platform for Boat of Garten railway station and watch the steam train. We've never been disappointed with this visit, the food and welcome is always good, looking forward to a 7th visit next year.

Great location next to the Strathspey Railway station. I stayed in a garden room which was comfortable and well appointed. This is a top price room, and I would have expected at least complimentary bottled water in the fridge. The bath had an overhead shower, which was difficult to use - there was no anti slip mat or support handle. Food and service at dinner and breakfast were excellent. Disappointing that the only beer available was lager or stout - no ale, not even in bottles.

Was worried about some of the reviews I read after I had booked but our experience was fantastic! Can’t imagine anyone finding fault with the hotel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming! Always had a chat with us and fussed over our dogs. Food was amazing and our garden room was perfect for the dogs! Such a quirky wee village with the Steam Train directly outside at the bottom of the garden, great find and would definitely recommend and hope to return again, it made a very wet and damp holiday very special and even the sunshine appeared on our arrival!😎
