I dropped them a line after booking as I'd read some reviews about steep stairs to the top floor and my partner is recovering from an operation. Peter called me right back to recommend we switch rooms as I'd unknowingly booked the top floor - this was very helpful and much appreciated, I'm certain it helped us avoid access problems during our one-night stay. The room we had was a good size, bathroom especially, and everything was in good working order. Peter was also very welcoming and helpful during our one and only breakfast there, which was great fuel for the day. We stayed here for one night at the end of a Highlands holiday as we wanted our last night to be in easy reach of Inverness airport, and the Smithton sent us on our way most comfortably. Cheers!

Stayed here due to work comitments. On 1st arrival i thought what a hotel in a housing estate. But believe me its a great little place . Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was ideal for the night bed and pillars very comfortable . And you would think sleeping above a pub would be noisey but it isnt . Big shout out to the guy sevring breakfast on the morning very friendly and welcoming never got his name . Big all round well done to eveyone there, I wouldnt hesitate to stay again many thanks

Peter and the rest of the staff were so pleasant and helpful! They gave great advice on what to see. The room was clean and well stocked. The food, dinner and breakfast were delicious.
