The Glencoe Hotel

We called in for pizza. We asked the barman if gluten free was available...he didn't know. Rather than offering to find out from the chef, we had to ask him if he would do this. He then became extremely rude, bordering on hostile, and very grumpily took himself off to find out. On his return we got a very curt yes. At this point we had decided we no longer wanted to eat in such an unwelcoming atmosphere, and left.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was comfy and the baby was a perfect way to relax. View is incredible.

Glencoe village has limited options for eating out it appears, my husband had eaten here previously, or at least at The Gathering which is attached but was closed on a Saturday in May?? So we entered the man hotel/restaurant to be met by a man who snottily asked if we had booked, we hadn’t and didn’t even consider it! And then we were told they had no availability despite being beyond quiet?! His manner was off from the get go! On our next Glencoe visit they will not get any of our custom!
