We arrived unexpected and got the warmest welcome, 2 weary travellers. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and tidy,we got a lovely room and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Good choice of breakfast and evening meal. and an easy walk into town. Beautiful Hotel and will definitely stay again should we be up that neck of the woods. Many thanks again for a lovely weekend. Formal black tie dinner for 90 covers. Food served promptly, politely and professionally. Excellent value for money for 4-course dinner. Wine sensibly priced, good selection of beers. Staff friendly and approachable. Would recommend.

We came back to celebrate our anniversary after having had our wedding reception here 33 years ago and not been back since. The setting and inside of the hotel is beautiful. The food was excellent and quickly served by a friendly, efficient young waiter. The only quibble was that there was nobody on reception when we arrived. Went to the bar to say we had booked a table and the barmaid was too busy preparing drinks to attend to us. Didn't make for a very good first impression. Glad to see that the hotel has had a transformation and was busy. It was once the 'go to' place in Forres and had such a good reputation. Hope the new owners do well, they certainly seem to have brought the place to life again. Many thanks for our lovely meal.
