Waverley Hotel

Great location & Great Staff very welcoming. & friendly. The Room was clean & bed very very comfortable. Food was amazing from breakfast to evening meal. The only issue i had was the portion sizes because I was brought up to empty my plate which wasn’t possible at this hotel. Nice & quiet / peaceful hotel Perfect stay

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL !!!!. We booked through expedia, the picture is not the real building. We turned up, nobody there, looked like a HMO, no longer used as hotel. Phone number, could not connect. ???. Had to find another place to stay at 6pm. TRYING TO REPORT.

We were up to participate in a bike race. When we arrived we couldn't find anyone as reception was closed up. Eventually found the proprietor. We asked about breakfast the next day as we had to be away before 8am. Agreed 730, but it wasn't ready and we were told "you could have arranged earlier" - not an option offered the night before. Breakfast was pretty terrible. Got the very strong feeling that we were an inconvenience. The rooms were ok, but one was very noisy. The hotel felt tired, decor was very dated. It was like hotels were 30 years ago, where you felt they were doing you a favour. Shame really, as it could be quite nice and there aren't many places to stay up there. I wouldn't go again and I think its very over priced for the level of service
