Anchor Hotel

Conveniently located with overlooking the Harbour and Loch Fyne, this hotel is a typical small inn style hotel. There is nothing fancy, but it offers good basic accommodation and food. On street parking, however, we managed to park outside the hotel each evening. Room 1, located on the first floor was a little noisy, due to the bar next door. It should be noted that there is not lift, and there are some rooms on the third floor. It is not far from the CalMac ferry. I would stay there again.

had breakfast and ate in restaurant in the evening, both enjoyable occasions, food was tasty and well cooked served with a smile and pleasant attitudes, nice bar dining area with sea views will return again

Absolutely awful hotel which ruins the reputation of this beautiful wee village. The rooms and communal areas feel like they've been used regularly by drunk teenagers for parties: furniture, doors, walls, sinks, carpets etc. Horrible smell everywhere you go and our rooms were filthy - even on a surface level. Mattresses all stained 🤢 Felt like we paid a high price for low end budget hotel. It's only saving grace was the breakfast which was lovely. Main door is left open at night with nobody about. Although this is a safe wee village, I definitely don't think this is safe as anybody has access. A very very poor representation of what this beautiful wee village and its community has to offer. Owners clearly just making money on back of the fact there are very few alternative places to stay. Absolute disgrace.
