Bourne Hall Country

Relaxing stay. Helpful staff. Tasty breakfast. Would definitely go back

The hotel was in a great location. Tom was amazing. However, the hotel needs some deep cleaning. The stairs, the carpet, the skirting etc, were absolutely filthy. Many cobwebs on doors and windows. The restaurant menu was very limited and the meals were below home cooked standard. There was no "did you enjoy your stay" when we left....just "bye". Disappointed and if it wasn't for Tom having greeted us, I think it would have been a worse score. The owners might like to look at the whole presentation of the place and their staff expectations. You shouldn't advertise an executive chef and serve mediocre meals. There were zero windows open at breakfast in this heatwave. We made the most of precious time together, but we won't be back to this hotel.

Reception lady, Tom and Paul and the maintenance man lovely nothing too much trouble. Food at breakfast is ok’ish as is dinner menu and big portions. But they let non Residents use the pool. Family of 12 has including a babe in arms took over this afternoon. Vaping. Grandad drinking his Corona out of a water bottle. Diving, jumping in playing with a football in the pool extremely noisy. Group of 4 males earlier doing the same but were reprimanded by member of staff so eventually left. Vaping and aroma of cannabis. We paid £432 for 3 nights B&B and was looking to find somewhere else to stay for Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary as this is not what we booked up for! Extremely disappointing and would stay here again!
