Shoreside Inn

We stay here every year and I don’t know how they do it. How do you improve on already excellent hotel but somehow Jo and Andy achieve this they just keep getting better and better can’t wait for next year

Shoreside Inn is an adult only boutique hotel Ideally situated on the front at Shanklin. It is not far from Shanklin railway station, close to several restaurants and a lift takes you up the cliff to access the town and the picturesque old village. A regular circular bus route links the beach to the village and town in addition to other routes connected to other parts of the island, so you don’t necessarily need a car to enjoy your stay here. Andy and Jo are exceptional hosts; they could not do enough for you. The breakfasts are truly amazing, a great way to start the day. The rooms have everything you need to enjoy your short or longer stay. We were fortunate to get the ground floor which allowed us to lounge on the sea facing patio watching the world go by drinking the well supplied varieties of teas and coffees provided, with a fridge packed with milk and bottles of water, an ideal way to keep the bottle of fizz cool too. Alternatively there are some rooms with balconies overlooking the sea. Overnight the road was quiet even in the middle of the summer season and when the tide is in the sea can be heard lapping against the sea wall. The sandy beaches have deckchairs umbrellas and are close to refreshments. Highly recommended place to stay . No matter how many nights you stay we always wish we could stay longer and when you leave you start to plan your return as with any great break or holiday.

Just returned from 4 day stay at Shoreside Inn. Can't speak highly enough of this place. Beautiful looking out to see. Andy & Jo are fantastic hosts, nothing too much trouble for them. Whole place impeccably clean, room was good size, comfy bed, lovely dual shower. Breakfast was fantastic, multiple choices in addition to Jo's special each morning also offering freshly made pastries and home made (by Jo) preserves. Brilliant traditional seaside hospitality that is hard to find these days. What a gem in Shanklin. Keep up the good work both of you. Richard & Jane.
