I had a wonderful stay at the Peninsula Hotel in Guernsey. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help. The food was excellent, with a great variety of delicious meals that were well prepared. A special thank you to Mathew from the housekeeping team. My room was spotless. fresh, and very well maintained. His attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness made my stay even more comfortable. It’s clear he takes pride in his work. I would definitely recommend the Peninsula Hotel to anyone visiting Guernsey and look forward to staying here again.

I am here now booked a sea view room - to be told the lift isn’t working ‘you can mange to get up the stairs’ was the comment - we explained I can’t and need a ground floor room if no lift.. - given a ground floor room looking into the car park and refuse to give us the £60 a night premium we paid for a sea view room because we booked through booking.com … avoid at all costs if you are disabled !!! Disgusting behaviour that has totally ruined my fist holiday away in 5 years- knowing I am stuck here now with this appalling attitude towards f the hotel makes me not want to even leave the room!

Guernsey itself is incredibly charming—like stepping into a storybook with its quaint houses, narrow roads, and peaceful island life. The Peninsula Hotel benefits from a beautiful location close to the sea, which gives it a naturally relaxing atmosphere. One of the strongest highlights of our stay was the staff. We noticed several Filipino staff members who displayed the world-renowned warmth and hospitality the Philippines is known for. Overall, the service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. The hotel is not very new and would benefit from some upkeep and renovation. However, considering that Guernsey does not have a high volume of tourists, it’s understandable that major upgrades may not be a priority. The room was spacious and included a view of the sea, though the décor and amenities do feel dated. The convenience of having a full-service restaurant and bar on-site is a big plus. The food was excellent and the coffee was great as well. Breakfast was simple and somewhat limited, but still sufficient for guests. Overall, The Peninsula Hotel may not be modern, but it offers comfort, a great location, and outstanding hospitality. The friendliness and exceptional service of the staff truly make the stay memorable.
