The Atlantic Hotel

My Wife and I have just returned from our first (it won't be the last) stay at The Atlantic Hotel. The hotel occupies a wonderful, coastal position which offers amazing views across the bay. Our room was very well furnished with a comfortable bed and was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. There'e everything you need. All the staff were friendly, polite and professional. We really felt they cared about the guest experience and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and there's the option to eat in the lounge if you prefer, rather than in the restaurant. We enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and the fact that breakfast service lasts until 10.30, so you can have a lazy start to the day before exploring the lovely island. All in all it was a great stay and I'd highly recommend it. Hire a car for a few days - plenty of parking on site - to really make the most of it. The zoo is well worth a visit. We will be back.

Beautiful location, a very comfortable room, fabulous meals and very efficient friendly staff.

We have just had five days at the Atlantic Hotel in a sea view room with a great view. It has a great location on the headland but the rooms are a bit dated. Not a single room has a slow door closer so all you hear are doors slamming shut which is terrible at night. Showers are over the bath and not walk in and the hotel advertises it has Sky sports in all rooms but it doesn’t work. We did report this at the desk!!! The staff though are what makes this hotel. They are always helpful and very smiley. Unfortunately the hotel add 10% on to everything you order as a service charge even though they may only walk 50 yards. This only became apparent when presented with our bill when we checked out. Thank you all for your excellent service but unlikely we would stay again.
