Premier Inn Folkestone (Channel Tunnel)

on arrival we put bags in room and went for food 10pm going back to 2 rooms that we quickly realised were above any normal bedroom temperature . The fan sat next to the reception desk really is a tell tale sign of the issues. I reported to the gent whom said this is a regular complaint they receive and wasn’t even apologetic because what can he do . I asked to be moved but all rooms are over heated. if we moved hotels it meant a refund waiting days and paying again and travelling further late at night. my child was already showering and my youngest fell asleep or i’d have absolutely checked out . but the 20 min plus wait at reception for a resolution took to long. I want to point out i’ve stayed here on numerous occasions over the years and never experienced this. A clear fault has simply now been replaced with - we don’t have air con and the hotel is just hot because of summer? un acceptable , my child vomited and was ill due to the heat and i reported before leaving at 3am. My asthma was aggravated whilst we was on holiday in france . we arrived to urine in the toilet , broke wall, and rotten boards. really not nice. Anyone with health conditions seriously need to be very mindful of the heat , no exaggeration our rooms were unbearable The what’s app “feedback” is a waste because they just ignore you without listening to the full concerns didn’t even offer an apology at first . I will now seek further proceedings but i warn people to be very careful.

Hotel was nice, room lovely and clean but restaurant dreadful as they had half the menu unavailable so only had a quick drink and left. Not a good start to our holiday

I left a stinking review on Google maps and for some reason, Premier Inn have insisted that I leave a review on here as well. We had an issue whereby my elderly father, who has reduced mobility was unable to get himself off the bed in the accessible bedroom. I contacted the accessibility team directly to discuss the issue for our return journey. They have said that there is nothing they can do, as the bed is designed for wheelchair users. I asked for a refund as we cannot use the hotel but they never responded. The other issue was the lack of air con, the poor old man was flailing around in 30 odd degrees until we returned from our nip to Tesco. The people working there were some of the more pleasant the we've encountered at Premier Inn.
