The Relish

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We absolutely loved our stay at The Relish! Laura made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. She is genuinely kind, thoughtful, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the views were beautiful, and every detail made us feel at home. Breakfast was a real highlight—the best full English breakfast we’ve had in England! Thank you, Laura, for making our stay so special. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend The Relish to anyone visiting Folkestone.

There only seems to be one member of staff, who to be fair, was very helpful when we booked and very polite and pleasant during our stay. We were surprised that Reception was rarely manned and it seemed that the one member of staff did everything. Our room was adequate. Very clean. Lovely bathroom. However, there were no drawers so we lived out of our suitcase which for a two night stay was ok. There was a kettle and supplies to make coffee/tea, but this was not replenished (two small biscuits wasn't enough), and this is the only hotel we have ever stayed in that did not have a mini fridge. I think it would be better if the sofa was removed and a chest of drawers provided. We read that tea/coffee and cake would be available all day. We never saw a cake and when we asked, we were told the chef was on holiday - so no cake. The choice of cereals, yoghurts, fruit etc at breakfast was good, but cooked breakfast was very disappointing. Bacon was so overcooked, it was inedible. Location was good, but we did not feel it was good value for money and certainly not 'luxurious'. Unfortunately we wouldn't recommend or stay again.

Overnight stop and good value. We had large modern comfortable room on third floor. Raj went the extra mile to make our stay really enjoyable. The breakfast was an amazing experience and one of the best ever so big applause from us Raj. They do not offer dinner and would highly recommend Marco Pierre Whites restaurant just round the corner
