Who'd A Thought It

Booked a room and a meal for my partners birthday. We were in room 18 the Billicart room. When we arrived we had a warm welcome from reception and were taken to our room. As soon as the door was opened it smelt clean and fresh. There was a bottle of champagne and chocolates to welcome us which was a lovely touch. There was a few small minor issues, like the air conditioning was confusing and a few cracked tiles but this did not ruin our experience one bit. The spa bath was wonderful and so relaxing. Our meal was lovely and very reasonable and everyone we met from staff to patrons were lovely. We had a great nights sleep as we were surrounded by beautiful countryside and the breakfast which was included was lovely the next morning. Would recommend a stay here.

firstly I think a few of the published reviews are unfair, the price point for the rooms is higher than a country pub with rooms but you get a lot more than they usually offer, it is not a 5 star luxury location with staff constantly attending to your every need! They provide spacious, fun and in some cases outlandish accommodation. The rooms are suites, some with in room and outdoor private hot tubs. our room was clean and well presented with a very comfortable bed and gave us plenty of space to relax. the food was good and the hotel has a good friendly atmosphere

Easy to get to unless you get stuck behind a skip lorry/tractor...ha ha. We loved the ambience and vibe of the place, really quirky and gives a real individual quality to the hotel. We stayed in the Roederer Cristal room which was awesomely art deco, we loved the mirrors, chandelier, lamps, all of it. House champagne and chocolates were a nice touch too. The hot tub and jacuzzi baths were amazing and great to relax in, we hardly got out of them for our stay. Bar area felt like the pictures to watch a film in and the tea/coffee was well stocked. Only downside was having to YouTube the instructions for the Tassimo as I was stumped 🤣 but they were easy enough to find and made a great coffee to be fair. Plenty of towels and toiletries which makes a nice change from some places. Robes and slippers too, felt like Lex Luthor from Superman walking around in my robe! Overall we had a great stay and hope to come again, it'll be difficult ti choose whether to go with the room we love or try a different one. Thank you so much guys!
