Premier Inn Margate

Comfortable room, very good value for money. Nice bed, lovely bathroom. The only thing I’d point out was the coffee machine in the room was a complete waste of time, the coffee was horrible and barely half filled the mug provided. Would also have been nice to have had some biscuits, only given two very small bits of chocolate.

An amazing success! Nearly 2 years ago, my husband was suddenly taken ill, resulting in him losing a leg high in the thigh. It has been hard to gain the confidence to try taking a holiday together but the Premier Inn team were amazing, from the first email, through to the staff we met! The disability team were careful to check our requirements and then took our booking when we decided where to try. When we arrived everything in the room was fantastic, the bed was a little low, even for a wheelchair but not a problem. The restaurant was amazing! The food good even for a fussy vegan like me! Breakfast and evening meals were well worth the money and exceeded any and all of my expectations and hopes. We have never used the meal deal option, but we will in future! The service from the staff in reception and the restaurant, was at all times fantastic! From Ali, (who was happy all the time, especially if he was busy, taking on any aspect of the work!), through to the front of house and evening service staff. All went above and frequently beyond what I expected. (Even cleaning separate utensils and providing fresh napkins for me due to my mushroom allergy) Thank you all at Premier Inn, Margate.

The usual Premier Inn offering. A large comfortable room with a good bed but only one chair for 2 - 3 persons, reasonable air-con and clean. My bathroom was in a better condition than other Premiers I have visited. Kettle and instant beverage packs provided with top-ups available. No iron / ironing-board in my room. As always staffing is minimal. You check in at a machine which is quite confronting and seems to require staff intervention. So why install them? Standard evening restaurant menu with reasonable quality meals served quickly as I was eating at a quiet time. Bar open very late. Breakfast also the usual Premier "unlimited" buffet-style with continental or full English options. Cooked food was almost cold on both mornings despite sitting on a very warm counter. My room felt safe and was well sound-insulated; necessary with a busy railway station next door and Margate's night-life generating a good deal of street noise. Comfortable, safe, as expected from Premier but certainly nothing special.
