Mercure Hythe Imperial Hotel & Spa

Beautiful location. Hotel is very good. Our room was fantastic and sea view and the air conditioning was a blessing. Bar food was good.

Had our wedding here, however even though we paid for a private space we had people from the public walking in and around our and other’s kids. The hotel is saying this is not a problem at all although we didn’t get the service we paid for. Breakfast on the morning of the wedding was so late; I didn’t even have time to finish my hair which meant my veil fell out. It was no one at the bar to help us with drinks so people ran to a different bar to get some.

I stayed here recently for a turf growers show, and a gathering of 90 people for a sit down meal in the evening. Great location, nice rooms and facilities throughout. However 2 things that really got my attention. 1. The friendliest reception team of any hotel i've ever visited (and i've stayed at a few !) Nothing too much trouble and super efficient. 2. Even though we ended up behind schedule for the evening gathering nothing was a problem for the F and B team. As a key organiser i apologised to front of house and his response " No problem at all Sir, just let me know when you're ready". The food that came out was exceptional and served with professionalism and care. A great night overall and an even better stay. What a team !
