Good location, however poor service .the hotel is supposed to be a cashless premises, but this is not the case . There is a pool but this has to be paid separately on using the facilities. The rooms are grubby, constant dripping from the tap, which you can hear through all night. There wasn’t enough tea & sugar in the room, and when asked reception for extra we were given two.

AVOID – filthy, run-down and nothing like the photos Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel stays we’ve experienced. Our concerns started the moment we arrived. The hotel looked nothing like the photos advertised online. The building appeared extremely run-down, there were guests smoking what appeared to be cannabis around the entrance, no available parking spaces and no disabled parking. The difference between the property we arrived at and the images used to advertise it was staggering – the photos appeared either extremely outdated or simply not representative of the hotel we stayed in. The room was filthy. Most concerningly, my daughter stood on a piece of broken glass in the room. We also found food underneath the bed, making it very difficult to believe the room had been properly cleaned before our arrival. For a family room, there was just one usable plug socket, no air conditioning and no fan. The room was unbearably hot. The bathroom was equally poor: black mould on the shower curtain, an empty soap dispenser and a toilet that didn’t flush properly. The rooms also seemed paper-thin. Noise from the room above was so loud that it became unbearable. There were additional frustrations throughout our stay. We hadn’t seen anything when booking to suggest there would be an additional charge to use the swimming pool, yet we were charged £5 per person. We had also prepaid for breakfast but were then charged for it again. Even something as simple as our daughters playing pool became an issue. The white ball became stuck inside the table after being potted, through no fault of theirs, but their deposit was then refused because they couldn’t return the white ball. When we explained that it was physically stuck inside the table, the response from the member of staff was essentially that it wasn’t his problem because he didn’t have the keys to open it. The bar was passable, but unfortunately our experience of the staff there was incredibly rude and unhelpful. At £220 for a single night, this was appalling value. I can forgive a hotel being dated or basic, but I cannot overlook basic cleanliness and safety – particularly broken glass being left in a family room. We certainly won’t return and, based on our experience, I couldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid.

Thin walls and creaky floorboards, way too noisy. I didn’t get an ounce of sleep. Location is good. The soap in the bathroom that they supply was empty. It was clean enough. This feel harsh but maybe I’m in a mood because I got 3 hours of sleep
