Booked and paid in good faith via the hotels own website only to turn up to find the property locked and the owners abroad on holiday. Luckily the owner of the guesthouse next door came to the rescue and provided us with board. We had travelled for 6.5hrs and were extremely disappointed. To add further insult, no apology has been received and no refund attempt made despite my emailing them 3 times and 2 phone calls. I have been left with no option other than to ask my bank to refund my payment. I would not recommend booking this guesthouse under any circumstances.

What a find! I’ll never stay anywhere else but here in Blackpool! Absolutely pristine, beautiful decor and wonderful hosts! Comfy bed, quality bedding and all the attention didn’t go unnoticed! Immaculate throughout, the best choice of breakfast, continental choice was awesome….fruit, cereal, pastries, the cooked breakfast choice was amazing, and delicious! If I could give this place a 20 out of 10 it wouldn’t be praise enough! See you in October!!

What a gem! How lucky was I that out of all the guest houses in Blackpool, I chose the best! Denise and her husband were great hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. 'By The Seaside' is a beautifully decorated guest house, the bedroom and en-suite was spacious, spotless and immaculately presented. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of options and the location couldn't be better as it is very short walk to a tram stop. Highly recommend!
