Hilton Blackpool (I)

Not the best for the price spent 3 nights at a cost of £300 yes main season but very expensive Check in was slow but only one person the desk Was given a so called free upgrade to the 7th floor (the newer refurbished rooms) No safe in room cracks in walls but clean Never saw a cleaner and had no housekeeping for the 3 nights definitely not worth the money Breakfast was included in the price nog standard buffet food ok not great no coffee machine just Nescafé in sachets A positive is it looks like money is being spent on the hotel with works being done but is looking very tired and dated for the cost Would not recommend

I booked this hotel for one reason...The pool!! I took my grandchildren who were very excited. Check in 4pm and check out 10am. We were told at check in 4pm we couldn't use pool because it closed at 4:30, so basically paid to sleep in a grubby room which noway had been hovered because there was a sealed bag of crisps under bed along with crumbs of food allover floor. Holes in duvet covers. Absolutely disgusting,will not be using this hotel again. Avoid is my advice.

I try not to judge a hotel or restaurant until I've tried it first. However its well known that Brittania Hotels have a lot of negative reviews. I booked a family room one child two adults for one night in the Grand Blackpool. It wasn't cheap £137 room only plus £7 parking . The hotel entrance from the car park is a mess. The impression I got is that no one cares. Tha entrance was littered with garbage from an overflowing bin and tom make matters worsd were a large number of dog poop bags scatterd in the entrance . Not the best impression. Once in the hotel we made our way to reception and it was packed with guests checking in. We walked away and checked in much late. The young man who checked us in was very polite and pleasant. We made our way through a maze of corridors to our room which was basic but realatively clean. We didn't eat in the hotel.so cannot comment but they wanted £12 per pesron on top of our room rate that we felt was too much..They have a pool but again you pay extra to use its only a small fed but again it should be included in the room rate, It seems Brittania hotels wznt to squeeze every guest for as much money as they can make Ok, would I stay again No would I recommend it No.
