Stayed as part of a Wedding Weekend. The Hotel entrance is Grand and as expected. The staff are great, very caring and helpful (all staff, bar, reception, maids, waiting ). The food was OK, only ordered from Bar Menu, breakfast was as expected (no continental) and the rooms are clean (if not a bit shabby). The is entertainment on in the bar on some evenings and an area to sit outside at the front. However if your expectation of a 4* is modern, new fresh and fancy this will disappoint. The hotel is dated and needs some TLC. Simple things like a lick of paint, frayed curtains in rooms, clean cobwebs from the high ceilings, clear tables inside and outside regularly, do something about the musty smells in rooms and corridors, have matching furniture in the rooms and actually provide toiletries (there was only soap). In comparison to the traditional Blackpool B&B or a premier inn i do think it is value for money if you know what you are going into. The location is great, far enough outside of Blackpool to avoid the noise and bustle but close enough to be able to walk into the center and piers etc. I would stay here again and opt for a sea view room.

The rooms was out dated the bar was not fit for purpose the parking charges was extortionate the beer was flat paid nearly a grand for 3 couples and you couldnt get a seat in the bar only 1 lift as an hotel that big its not really fit for purpose my rating is 1 out of 5

Booked for 2 nights, had to cut short after 1 night due to a family emergency. We had pre-paid for our stay. Unfortunately, the hotel would not reimburse anything for the room/ breakfast but did refund the 12 UK pounds for the 1 day overnight parking. A bit disapppinted by this. However, as previous reviews have stated the hotel is not imperial no more which is a terrible shame. We booked a deluxe room, it was by far not a deluxe room at all and not to a 4 star standard. The room was very dated but the furnishings were in a poor state of repair. Reception lacked efficiency with few staff made available; we waited ages to check in and check out. The Imperial Hotel looks grand from the front entrance but it is not the same inside unfortunately.
