Shirley Heights Hotel

Fantastic little place. Just stayed for 3 nights, breakfast is superb. The place is spotlessly clean and Derek and Amanda are the perfect hosts. Couldn't fault it and will definitely be back!

Just got back from a 2 night stay at The Shirley Heights, and we (me, my partner and her son) loved every minute of it. Shirley Heights is a lovely hotel around 15 mins walk from Blackpool North, in the Central area of the town. Ideal for Coral Island, Bonny Street Market and everything that the Central area has to offer, including the H&A Social Club virtually next door. Derek and Amanda are the perfect hosts, excellent cooked breakfasts, good choice of cereals/juices/teas/coffees. Our rooms were splendid. Super comfy beds, tea/coffee facilities, nice bathrooms and super clean. I would happily recommend The Shirley Heights to anyone and we are already planning our next visit.

From the second we arrived on Friday 20th August 2026, Brian, greated us at the door made us feel so welcome intruding himself and his wife Mandy. He offered us a drink before asking if we would like him to take our bags to our room. I had booked a small double room which was the perfect size for the 2 of us. Once entering out room he explained that there were robes on the back of the door for the shower, the room was bright fresh and immaculately clean tea & coffee facilities which was a lovely surprise, when asked if there's was anywhere I could store my medication as needed to be in a fridge, Brian immediately without any hesitation said he would bring up a little cooler for me. He handed us the keys and explained that our shower was in another room just opposite our room, which was perfect for our short stay. He explained about how breakfast was available between 7am and 9am and asked if we would like to choose a time between then so his wife could make sure she was ready for us. As this was our 1st time at Shirley Heights Hotel we asked about what was local for us to do, Brian welcomed us to the local social club on Friday which was a short walk along from where we were staying, which I would definitely recommend both myself & my partner really enjoyed the atmosphere entertainment & cheap drinks. The room was at the front of the building we did expect to here some noise...... not a thing we both slept well which is a 1st for us both!, the bed was so comfortable we nearly slept in for our breakfast. All I can say about the food was AMAZING! Everything you could think of was available the dining room was warm and welcoming the other guests were so polite which was really nice. We had a cooked breakfast with toast which was beautiful with a pot of tea and fresh orange, there was lots of cearals on offer along with fruit and Greek yoghurt which was set out for everyone to access. We went out to enjoy the sights of Blackpool as the location of Shirley Heights Hotel was in the perfect location to centre of Blackpool walking distance to most of the popular attractions. When we returned to change after being out all day, our beds were made fresh towels put our and coffee station refilled which we didn't expect with only staying for 2 nights. Throughout out our stay Mandy & Brian was so accommodating nothing was a bother really friendly, they really do go above and beyond for the guests when chatting to other guests they couldn't recommended the Shirley Heights Hotel any more highly. On our departure we thanked Mandy and Brian for there hospitality it was the much needed break we need to recharge our batteries they definitely do go above and beyond for there guess whom I now understand why so many people return to stay with them! We certainly will be back next year 💯 best accommodation we have been to in Blackpool 5* for everything.
