The ShoreSide Hotel

Absolutely disgusting experience. The outside of the hotel looks bad, but the inside is even worse. As soon as you walk in, the smell of damp hits you and it is horrible. The room was in an unacceptable condition — it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly at all. There were stains on the bed sheets, what appeared to be a snot mark on the bedding, and even faeces on the bathroom wall. It was obvious the sheets had not been changed after the previous guests stayed. I was so disgusted that I refused to stay and would genuinely rather sleep on the street than spend the night there. To make matters worse, Booking.com only refunded me £7.41, which is shocking considering the state of the hotel. I am disgusted with both this hotel and the way Booking.com handled the complaint.

I would leave 0 if I could. Avoid avoid and avoid again. Terrible experience. Advertises itself as cheap and that's about the only good thing. Hidden conditions such as a £20 deposit then making it £22 to pay by card. Rooms that are falling apart cramped decour surely owner and generally a terrible experience. Upon arrival I was told parking was £15 extra ( the hotel advertises itself as having parking available) and also a £22 charge for deposit. When this is paid they should refund upon checkout but they don't and expect you to chase to get your money back.. Terrible experience if you like being ripped off go ahead and book.

The tiniest room I've ever had the misfortune to day in and our other friends room was worse. Uncomfortable beds and you could barely turn around in the toilet much less the shower. Bar was a bit of a joke. Had to ask for it to be opened the first night and it was full of their friends the second night. Asked for a beer from the fridge but it was hot as they didn't bother turning the fridge on. Person had no idea what kind of glasses to serve drinks in and wouldn't give us another until the glass was empty and filled up the same one. Breakfast was honestly terrible. You couldn't get teeth through the bacon and I sent mine back. Twenty minutes later he appeared with my burnt to a crisp replacement and when I refused it he offered to put it on a sandwich! No juices available. Instead of orange juice I was offered Fanta. If our stay was more than two nights I'd have bailed.
