My wife and I booked two nights at the Stuart Hotel in Derby for our anniversary weekend break.
So firstly, absolutely brilliant staff! Very friendly and helpful, they changed our room instantly from the top floor to an easier to access & frankly nicer room as soon as the receptionist noticed that my wife walks with a stick! That sort of attention makes a big difference, so thanks The Stuart.
The only criticism I can mention is the lack of Aircon anywhere in the hotel...it was easily the hottest weekend of the year and we were melting, pedestal fan in our room but against 30+° it wasn't enough.
Nice but fairly basic breakfast,..but once again brilliant attentive staff member on hand all of the time so nothing ran out, (it's buffet style) and the small restaurant split over either side of the reception area was spotlessly clean and well appointed.
All in all a very nice couple of nights and we will happily return...In cooler weather! 😎
