I stayed here for one week in February to attend a wedding that was nearby in Whalley. Throughout my stay, I couldn't have been happier with my choice! The staff were all incredibly welcoming, especially the front desk and the breakfast staff. The building and grounds were very pretty, and there were always staff working and cleaning both inside and out. The location was also really convenient. It was an easy 3-5 minute uber ride to get into downtown Whalley, and Clitheroe was only about a 10 minute ride. I never had any issues getting an uber either. I ate breakfast in the hotel every day, and enjoyed it tremendously, and I had dinner in the bar one night (greek chicken, it was very good).
The room itself was quiet and comfortable. I was in an executive king room that backed up to green space. The bed was lovely, and the shower had amazing water pressure. I also loved that they made sure I had fresh milk in the minifridge daily for tea. I only had a couple of issues or complaints. First, as an American (pardon my ignorance), the first night, I had no idea how to control the heat. It had a wall thermostat that didn't seem to function, and there was a radiator (that I didn't find out till the next day was a supplemental heater I could have unplugged or turned off). My second morning I called the front desk and they explained the room had radiant heating that they adjust up there, so they were able to get it sorted. It might be nice if there were a little sign or explanation about that in the room. The only other issue I had was that all the lights in the bathroom are directly overhead, there are no vanity lights or sconces or anything--so it's very shadowy and can be hard to see details if you're trying to shave or put on makeup.
All in all I would absolutely happily stay here again and very much hope to if I'm ever back in the area!

We had a gift voucher for afternoon tea for two. I booked a table for two originally but then our son decided to join us so I called and changed the booking to 3 and obviously one of us would order from the main menu. We did say we might take the dogs but decided against it as it was a very warm day so we left them at home.
When we arrived we got taken to a table only set for 2 people and we felt like we were sat in a hall way. Not sure if this is the only area where dogs were allowed but let’s just say we felt out of it and it was bizarre.
Now I’m a huge fan of afternoon teas and I’m so upset that this was the worst one I’ve had and the cost would’ve been nearly £60!
The mini doughnuts were dry, there’s nothing really special about any of it. The sandwich’s were standard.
The food from the main menu was ok for my son and he enjoyed that.

Stayed at the Mytton Fold Hotel with a small group of friends as part of a dinner, bed & breakfast and round of golf package, and I was very impressed. My (ground floor) room was spacious, well appointed, and the bed very comfortable. The grounds of the hotel are pleasing on the eye and very well maintained The food was plentiful and of a very high standard, and the staff were always polite and helpful. The golf course is also well maintained - being built on a hillside you get very few flat lies but although it is quite hilly it is a very fair course for golfers of all abilities. All in all a very pleasant stay, which hopefully will be repeated in the future.
