Lovely hotel with very friendly attentive staff. Bedrooms could do with a little bit of updating but very comfortable.

We stayed at this hotel in January and were given the most amazing suites . Dinner and service in the restaurant then were excellent. We decided to come back in April for my son in laws 50 th birthday. What a change ! On arrival we were told that the 3 downstairs suites we had booked in January were not available. They could only give us one downstairs suite . We were given two more upstairs . All 3 were quite frankly shabby and outdated . It soon became apparent that our downstairs suites had been taken over by guests at a very lavish wedding. Service at dinner was slow and when we asked to change tables due to my disability aid the head waiter was rude and refused to change our table said we had only booked a table not reserved one ! Is there a difference ? It was obvious that the management at Foxfields are only interested in hosting weddings at the weekends and other guests are sidelined when a wedding is on . We had paid a lot more for our rooms in April than we did in January. We were very disappointed at our experience and definitely felt second best . We won’t be coming to Foxfields anymore and will tell our friends to avoid it too .

Lunch at Foxfields Artisan restaurant today and we were spoilt for choice! Opted for the Sri Lankan curried soup with onion bhaji and roti. Both agreed this was one of the best soups we have had. Followed by duck and pancakes and prawns also on the starters which were equally tasty 😋 Excellent service and would highly recommend.
