Premier Inn Leicester City Centre

Location was very central, lifts were not working correctly, 1 out of order and 1 stopping g at random floors. Car park is very tight for a large vehicle. Bed was comfy but room was tired and worn. Shower head leaked and sprayed all over the room. Staff were really helpfull and friendly and breakfast was great

What a lovely lady at the front desk so helpful and friendly, definitely a credit to Premium inn

We stay in premier inns on a regular basis and this was the worst we've ever stayed in. Despite paying (£15) in advance for early checkin (11am) the room was not ready until just after 12pm. When we arrived there were lots of people milling around the foyer. They seem to be part of a group. Three members of staff were huddled around one computer. As I approach the desk I asked if I could check in. I was told checkin was 3pm. I explained we had early checkin but told to 'stand over there' as the room wasn't ready and they would let us know when it was. At this point I went to the toilet. The group of people had been given some room keys and they were on the way to the rooms. Then I went back to the carpark to get the last of our luggage and move our car nearer to the premier inn basement door. After a while, my husband noticed other people being checked in/being given keys. We then reapproached the desk around 12 p.m. We'd had enough of waiting. The computer did not recognise our booking by surname and there was no record of a request for a lower floor room, according to the receptionist. Finally, our booking was found and we were given our keys. At a quick glance the room looked OK. However, on close inspection the room looked like it needed a major refurbishment. The carpet was fraying at the edges. The sealant in the bathroom and around the window in the bedroom looked as it had been replaced several times without the old sealant being removed first. The bottom sheet was at least 20 inches short at the bottom of the mattress. Thankfully the mattress protector was clean. There were strange marks on the wall near the toilet. On a positive note, parking, albeit charged, was available under the hotel and there were plenty of spaces available. The towels and bed linen were clean and mattress and pillow protectors were in use. There was plenty of spare tea, coffee, etc. sachets available in the foyer. The room was air condition. Checkout was easy, as usual.
