We booked here near to where we were going to a friends party.
The check in was quick and efficientz
We checked in to our room which was a double and a sofa bed for our 2 children. We had to arrange the sofa bed ourselves, there were no sheets, duvet or pillows for them. When I opened the sofa bed, the mattress protector was stained with hair on it. The matress underneath was ripped. I reported it right away to the receptionist and the chap was very apologetic and sorted the problem right away.
The bar area was fine and is open to the locals I believe. I bought a round of drinks and I was served flat Prosecco. When I took my daughter to the toilets I was immediately greeted with the stench of stale urine. 3 toilets, one was out of order, one was blocked and the last one had no paper.
The breakfast was good. Good choice for everyone. Maybe some child friendly cereals such as rice crispies would be good.
We have been to many hotels, especially holiday inns and I must say this was not a good one.
The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Shame about the other issues.
