27 Paddington Hotel

A 0 is even too much. This hotel (if you can even call it that) is so terribly unsanitary and disastrous that even the rats flee from it. The room itself was barely cleaned, everywhere dirty spots, hair and more. Watch when you step on the carpet floor with your stockings... it was so wet & dirty there you thought you had stood in a swamp with your foot. It was a close call before the springs from the bed gave you a hernia or 2. It's crazy that this hotel can still be booked and hasn't been served a general closure yet... because amai this is a health risk. 1 tip: absolutely do not come here.

The only positive was that the receptionist was very friendly and check in was seamless, after this it went downhill drastically. The rooms were pokey and grim, huge chunks of paint were peeling off the ceiling with mould trying to hold them back. The window was held shut with a spoon, the place smelled of mould and the aircon unit looked like it had not worked in decades and in 30 degree heat it was very unpleasant. The bed was just a wooden platform with a mattress that had to have been made from cement, was unusable, one of us had to sleep on the couch. The hairdryer didnt work which seems to have been pointed out in other reviews and still not addressed, one of the simplest things to replace!! There is no lift so its a huge trek up to the top floor by stairs. It is not cheap to stay here , it is at best a Hostel and the only positive is the location but saying thst there are far better actual Hotels in tje area.

Very conveniently placed right beside Paddington station. The staff were all very attentive and lovely. The room itself was a bit run down but everything was clean.
