Central Hotel Golders Green

NEVER book this location!! You can call until you weigh an ounce. Finally, someone's coming. Unfriendly, impersonal man. Inside it already looks very unpleasant. Dirty, unkempt, in bad condition, stinks. Before the final check-in we asked if we could see the room first. We were led through a filthy room with a lot of junk and clutter on the ground. The carpet is too dirty to even walk on with your shoes. The room was terrible. Bad smell, stains everywhere, mold, terrible beds. We wanted to leave very quickly. Contacted head office, filed a complaint on the spot. Nothing will be done with it. Because we did not arrive at the final check-in, nothing will be reimbursed. PLEASE!!!! Spare you this misery and ignore this hotel. Not even worth 2 stars.

perfect location. the staff are good they know me as i stay regulary. and they tend to put me in the same room a lot witch i am very happy with my favourite room is room 32 as i have autism and learning disabilities and cannot sleep at night if i have people in rooms above me so they kindly put me on top floor always. would recommend to anyone wanting a great place to stay in great location.

This hotel is a scam and probably more radioactive than Chernobyl. The online pictures aren’t real; we arrived to find the outer building run down and desperately needing a paint job and a thorough clean. It looked like a derelict structure with a fallen sign and a missing bench. Inside is much worse with mould and electrical wires and holes in the walls and switches and lights handing from the walls and the ceilings. At the reception, we was unable to enter as there was a piece of paper with a phone number. I called it and spoke to a woman in bed who sounded like she just woke up. She told us we couldn’t enter the building as check-in was at 11:00. Since check-in was at 11, we left our car and headed into London for the day. Later, we returned to the hotel to find a woman on reception in her lilo and stitch pyjamas. She informed us our room was no longer available because a guest had refused to leave and locked themselves in. The police had been called. Chloe, the receptionist, assured us a full refund would be given and we didn’t need to do anything. However, two days later, the hotel ignored my calls and hasn’t responded to Booking.com about my refund. I had verbal and message confirmation that Chloe and “Ellie” the manager had approved the refund, but it hadn’t been confirmed yet. Like I said avoid at all costs.
