Jesmond Dene Hotel

The hotel is conveniently located close to Kings Cross/St. Pancras train stations and within an easy walk of the Euston station which was the major reason for our choosing this hotel. The front desk staff of the hotel assisted us a number of times by directions to a number of the London landmarks. Another big plus was that they stored our luggage, free of charge, between our 2 stays (we traveled west for 2 nights then returned) which was extremely helpful. There was a plethora of eateries within easy walking distance which was convenient. The room was clean. It had an electric kettle and had instant coffee and tea which was nice. The only “issue” (which may not be for others) was the size of the room. It was very tight quarters for us. One side of the bed was about 6-8 inches from the wall, which, for a sizable person may be a problem. The bathroom was also really small. Despite the small room I’d stay there again given the proximity to the train stations and the nice staff.

We were two older couples looking for a room for one night close to St. Pancras train station, and Jesmond Dene met our needs at a reasonable price. As others have noted, the rooms are small, but they have everything you need, including a private shower. The person at the desk was very pleasant, checked us in, and showed us to our rooms. One thing to be aware of is that the rooms are accessed through a somewhat unusual arrangement. We exited the front door and entered through an adjacent door. One of our rooms was on the first floor, while ours was about five floors up, which made getting our luggage to the room a bit of a challenge. Overall, Jesmond Dene served our purpose well. It was reasonably priced, conveniently located for the train station, and perfectly adequate for a one-night stay.

Very confortable room, clean and with all you need, the location is perfect, near King Cross station. Ali at the reception and all the personnel were friendly and collaborative.
